Preparing for an Interview
When it comes to the day of your interview, nerves and adrenalin can take over, remembering your name can be hard never mind the latest CQC regulations! We understand this and so Eclypse are dedicated to fully preparing all nurse jobs candidates who attend interviews through us, making sure they are fully informed, confident and know exactly what they are going into. We want all candidates who attend an interview through us to feel ready to take the interview on and make a really strong first impression. First of all because we are so specialist in Nursing and Nurse Management within the Private Sector you can be confident that we know exactly what our clients are looking for, so who else to advise you on what to say and more importantly, what not to say! There are some basic tips that we would advise all candidates to ensure they follow:- Be on Time – this is the clients first impression of how well you are going to be able to manage yourself. If you are late are they to expect you will be late for work if they were to take you on? If you are going to be late for a reason which is out of your control (traffic etc) then do make sure you call to let the prospective employer know and to apologise. You maintain your professionalism by doing so. Dress Smart – First impressions count! Wrongly or Rightly people will make assumptions on your professionalism by how you prepare for the interview and on what you choose to wear. Someone who wears a smart suit has thought more about the interview than someone who wears jeans and a t-shirt. By simply dressing smart you are getting across to the client that you care about what they think and that you do want to create a good first impression. Be Positive – It is important that you are positive in your interviews, about previous employers, about yourself and about the position you are interviewing for. Is sounds simple but if you are negative about a former employer, it is telling your prospective employer that you will be negative about them should you leave their employment. These are the very basics about interviewing, however, when you use Eclypse Recruitment as your nominated Agency we will provide you with our ‘Giving a Good Job Interview’ Guide and also our ‘Handling Interview Questions’ Guide which goes into great detail of how to handle your interviews. Furthermore, your consultant will be able to provide you with inside knowledge on how the client works, what they are like and what you can expect from the interview.
