Nursing Home Manager vacancies require a candidate who has a strong background in care home management and is also a qualified nurse with active registration on the NMC as a Nurse. As a Nursing Home Manager you will need a management qualification such as NVQ Level 4, the Registered Managers Award or the QCF Level 5. Ideally you will have 1 or more of these qualifications plus your nursing qualification.

As a Nursing Home Manager you will be registered on CQC as the Home Manager and the smooth running of the home will be directly your responsibility.

You will manage the home day to day and make sure the home is working towards national minimum care standards and CQC regulations and requirements.

Nursing Home Managers tend to work Monday – Friday, however, you will be expected to work some weekends to make sure the weekend staff work as well as the week day staff. You won’t be expected to work as a Nurse if the home is larger as your role will be all management.
